Brady’s Gift-in-Kind Program Seeks Requests
MILWAUKEE (July 15, 2006)--Brady manufactures and supplies thousands of products to customers and many of those same products provide invaluable solutions for nonprofit organizations. For example, schools use Brady’s Varitronics branded products for improving education initiatives. Emergency relief agencies like the Red Cross find Brady’s printing systems essential in times of crisis. And, nonprofit research labs find Brady’s LabPal™ Label Printer extremely valuable in their research efforts.
As part of its efforts to support formative, skills and leadership development in the communities in which Brady operates, the Brady Corporation Foundation has established the Brady Gift-in-Kind Program to make donations of Brady products to nonprofit organizations.
“It’s important to invest in the communities in which we work and serve,” said Rich Garrity, national direct sales manager for Varitronics and manager of Brady’s Gift-in-Kind program. “We have a unique product line which provides solutions to nonprofits in helping them achieve their goals and mission.”
“It was ‘doubly satisfying’ to be involved in the Gifts-in-Kind Program,” said Steve Hasbrook, Brady’s director of e-business solutions and liaison between Brady and a nonprofit organization that needed custom signage. “In my role as president of a nonprofit, I am grateful to Brady for supplying all the signage for our annual benefit. As a Brady employee, it was extremely gratifying to be able to offer such a high-quality product. In the end, we raised more money than we ever have in the past, and Brady contributed to our success.”
In line with the Foundation’s focus on education, requests for education organizations and initiatives are given priority. Additionally, the purpose, value and frequency of the donation are considered when Brady makes gift-in-kind donations.
To request a gift-in-kind on behalf of a nonprofit organization, complete the attached Brady Gift-in-Kind Requestform. Requests will be reviewed twice monthly.
